Although the shape of this coin is unconventional, it is already becoming a traditional piece within the numismatic issues that Luxembourg presents each year. Minted in Proof quality, this year, by the Koninklijke Nederlandse Munten (Royal Mint quality of the Netherlands) on an alloy of Nordic gold and 925 silver, the piece has an issue volume of only 2,000 units and It has just been put on sale in the online store of the Central Bank of Luxembourg for € 55.
The coin is dedicated to the «Bock Casemates», secret tunnels built by the Spanish in the 17th century to defend the city.
