O nouă monedă comemorativă ucraineană - 27.11.2017

On 23 November, the Bank of Ukraine issued a 5-hryvn coin to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the creation of the Ukrainian People's Army and its first regiment, named after Bogdan Khmelnitsky. The first Ukrainian military unit formed voluntarily, after the enlistment of more than 3,200 people, participated in the armed resistance of the Ukrainian People's Republic to the aggression of the Bolsheviks. 





In the center of the obverse is a stylized composition of uniformed soldiers of the early twentieth century of different military formations of the Ukrainian Revolution, where one of them holds a flag with the inscription 1917. As is usual in all Ukrainian coins, also the national emblem of Ukraine, the year of issue, the face value and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine is represented. 

 
The reverse shows a composition of the flags used by the first military units of the Ukrainian army. On the left and vertical inscriptions in Ukrainian "Start the construction of the Armed Forces", below in vertical "100 years".
