O nouă monedă comemorativă malteză - 13.05.2017

Comrade Wojtax has just announced what will be the design of the second 2-euro commemorative coin series that started to emit Malta in 2016 and will be extended to 2020 under the name of "Children and Solidarity" and Which this year is issued under the theme «Peace». All designs come out of a competition between high school students from Malta.

The image depicted on the coin shows two children holding the flag of Malta, one on each side, with a dove as a symbol of peace that appears above them. We also see the inscriptions of Malta as issuing country and 2017 of the year in which it will be issued.

Like the first coin of the series issued last years, these will be recorded by Noel Galea Bason and coined in the Monnaie De Paris. The coins will be issued in rolls of 25 units, and individually in specially designed cards. The number of coins presented in rolls is limited to 350,000 pieces (14,000 rolls), while the number of cards is limited to 30,000 units, in the latter appears the mint mark of the Monnaie de Paris. So the total emission volume amounts to 380,000 pieces. Scheduled to be issued during the month of November.
