The Bank of Ukraine issued on June 1 two coins with facials of 2 and 10 hryven minted one in alpaca and the other in silver, both with the same design, belonging to the series "Flora and Fauna of Ukraine" and dedicated to Turón Jaspeado or Bulgarian Turón ( Vormela peregusna), animal included in the Red Book of Ukraine to the being a species threatened and in danger of extinction.
The reverse of the coin shows a Jasper Turon that has been colored using pad printing. At the top appears the scientific name of the animal "Vormela peregusna" and underneath the common name in Ukrainian.
The obverse of the coin appears framed by a garland decorated with various species of flora and fauna, the emblem of the State of Ukraine and inscriptions: Ukraine / 2 / hryvnia / 2017 and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Another difference between the 2 coin and the 10 hryven coin is in the form that is presented. The highest value is presented in a case and the smaller one comes in a pretty coincard with images of the animal to which it is dedicated.
