The National Bank of Hungary has issued a collector coin with a face value of 3,000 forints, featuring the folk tale "The Lazy Girl and the Diligent Girl." This is the fourth coin in a series of seven, launched in 2021, which aims to present the values of Hungarian folk tales, evoking the visual design of the animated series.

The story "The Diligent Girl and the Lazy Girl" tells the story of two young women with opposite personalities: one is characterized by being hardworking, kind, and obedient, while the other is lazy, careless, and selfish. When both have the opportunity to demonstrate their true colors, the diligent girl completes each task with patience and dedication, earning her magical rewards and blessings that transform her life. The other, on the other hand, tries to achieve the same thing effortlessly, but her listless and disobedient attitude leads her to receive punishments and negative consequences. The lesson of the story is clear: kindness, perseverance, and humility are always rewarded, while laziness and greed only lead to misfortune.

In the center of the coin's obverse is the rooster, the messenger of the tale, with a stylized folklore-style floral motif inspired by the series' main title. The legend "Magyarország" is located above the image, along with the denomination "3000" (with a dove drawn above the second digit), and "forint" in two lines on the left, while the mintmark "BP" and the mint year "2025" are on the right, all written in italics.

The reverse features the main characters of the folk tale: the lazy girl on the left and the diligent girl on the right, with the vine asking for help on the gentle slope in the background. At the top center is the three-line legend "A szorgalmas és a rest leány" (The Diligent Girl and the Lazy Girl), with a dove on the left and a butterfly on the right. The master mark of the coin's designer, Boglárka Imrei, is located at the bottom of the reverse, near the rim.

In line with previous pieces in the series, the coin is minted from an alloy of copper (75%), nickel (4%), and zinc (21%). It weighs 16 grams and is 34 mm in diameter. The inscription 'MAGYAR NÉPMESÉK RAJZFILMSOROZAT ●●●' (Animated Hungarian Folk Tales Series) is repeated on the edge. The issue volume is 20,000 coins, all in Proof quality.
