Cold Yar is an area of relict forest in the Cherkasy region, which has an important historical and environmental significance in the center of which is the Monastery of the Holy Trinity of Motrony. Cold Yar is a forest of relics, where one of the most famous natural monuments is the millenary oak, named after Maxim Zalizniak. This area preserves many archaeological sites from different eras.

In this same area was where from the spring of 1768 the social and national liberation movement of 1768-1769 began on the right bank of Ukraine: Kolyivshchyna was a major Jaidamaka rebellion that broke out on the right bank of Ukraine in June 1768, caused by the dissatisfaction of the peasants due to the oppression of serfdom by the nobility and the anti-Polish mood among Cossacks and peasants.

Under this theme, the Bank of Ukraine issues a coin of 5 grivnas minted on an alpaca or German silver alloy on April 15 next.

On the back of the coin there is a composition reminiscent of the forest where the tree tops extend to the central colored circle, which symbolizes the leaves and the sun; To the left and right are depicted horses with their riders, symbolizing the struggle for liberation; behind the trees appears the Church of the Trinity of the monastery of Motronin.

The obverse of the coin in the central circle in the shape of a rug shows the emblem of the State of Ukraine, the inscription semicircular UKRAINE the face value 5 grivnas, all surrounded by trees, branches, leaves and acorns and the inscription Холодний Яр (Cold Yar); Bottom left is year of issue of currency 2019; The Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine is shown on the right under one of the trees.
