The Greece numismatic program 2019 was presented on Thursday, April 18 at the Bank of Greece Museum. The presentation was made by the deputy director of the Bank of Greece, Markos Kontaxopoulos, the deputy director of the Treasury Department of the Bank, Giorgos Giparis and the award-winning sculptor Giorgos Stamatopoulos.
At the same time the Bank of Greece has made available to collectors a catalog of 28 pages in which it shows all the coins that will be issued in 2019, with the data known to date. A curious feature of the catalog is that it is constantly updated, data and images that do not appear today can be accessible in the near future.
As usual they are coins, in general, of great beauty, although this year the two pieces of 2 commemorative euros dedicated to the "Centennial of the birth of Manolis Andronikos" and the "150 years of the death of Andreas Kalvos" are certainly not the best minted by the Greek Mint.
