The first of the series

1 kg silver coin «History of the Dollar»
The Royal Mint wanted to dedicate its first mintage of a one-kilogram silver coin to the history of the American dollar, whose origins go back to Central European thaler and Spanish viceregal America, with the real of eight .

The coin reproduces different numismatic pieces that are fundamental to understand this history of the dollar, its origins and ancestors.

On the obverse we find the image of the first coinage of three historically and internationally recognized coins: the United States dollar, Central European thaler, and the eight Spanish real in its type known as the "world and seas columnist".

On the reverse, the images of four coins of the thaler type , issued by different Central European countries between the 16th and 18th centuries , are reproduced .

From this first coin 1,000 units were minted. A few months ago they told me that they had sold almost entirely.

This is how the first coin of one kilo of pure Spanish silver was made

These coins are designed as collector coins, not investment, because having a face value of 300 euros, this amount must be paid to the Treasury, something that out of the already greatly increases. If you look, the investment currency, worldwide, usually have very low nominal values, which makes them more affordable.
