After the success that the German coins dedicated to the Climatic Zones are reaping, due in large part to the innovation that the incorporation of the polymer as part of the coin implies, a polymer ring separates the coin into two parts the coin. The German Ministry of Finance announced this week that in 2019 a new series begins in which the polymer returns to be the main attraction for a new series of coins called "Air in Motion".

The series consists of three coins that will be issued one per year between 2019 to 2021, the polymer ring will be translucent and the cupronickel will be the metal of the coin. The first of the series under the name "In the Air" is announced for the month of April 2019. The face value of the pieces will be 10 euros and will be marketed in two qualities, BU and Proof. The first can be obtained in German banks at face value, the second at an obviously higher price, which has not yet been determined.

The obverse of the coin, designed by Natalie Tekampe, represents the image of a person flying in a paraglider between two mountains, at the top you can read "IN DER LUFT" (IN THE AIR). The reverse, common to the whole series, is the work of Andre Witting, it is represented in the center: a stylized eagle and the face value "10 EURO", on the outside of the circle the inscription "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND" (REPUBLIC FEDERAL DE ALEMANIA), the twelve stars of the European flag, including the year of issue "2019" and the mint mark "A" (Berlin), "D" (Munich), "F" (Stuttgart) ), "G" (Karlsruhe) or "J" (Hamburg).

The smooth edge of the coin has the inscription "LUFT BEWEGT" (AIR IN MOTION).

These are the first data that have been provided, I will be attentive to future information.
