Since 2002 San Marino has issued euro coins, after 15 years with the same designs the European regulations allow the renewal of them. With some images that are not as good as I wanted, I can already show you what will be your new national faces for all your circulation currency. The first series is expected to go on sale during the month of July.
The designs are the work of Ludwig Arno , in which works of art and monuments of the Republic of San Marino are represented. The 2 euros show part of a painting by Urbinelli.The one of 1 euro presents the second tower of the three present in Mount Titanio called Basket. The 50 cents presents the Santo Marino painted by E.Retrosi. The 20 cents show the Three Towers. The facade of the Convent of San Francisco appears on the 10 cents. The Church of the Capuchins in the 5 cents. The 2 cents have the Gate of San Francisco. Finally the coin of 1 cent shows the official emblem of the Republic of San Marino.
