August 25 , 2025, was not just any date in Mexico's economic history. On that day, the Bank of Mexico celebrated its first centennial, a century of history since it opened its doors in 1925 as the institution charged with ensuring the stability of the national currency's purchasing power. To commemorate this unique occasion, the issuing institution presented a commemorative silver coin to the public , a piece whose design, right down to its finish, reflects both the central bank's historical richness and institutional standing.

The coin is not only a collectible; it also represents a tangible symbol of the country's economic memory, minted in 0.999 pure silver and weighing the equivalent of two troy ounces .
