The Philatelic and Numismatic Office continues the cycle of emissions of the gold coins of 20 and 50 euros dedicated to the Acts of the Apostles, the fifth book of the New Testament that tells what happened after the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

20 Euro coin - First Missions

 

 

The 20 euro gold coin, the work of the artist Cristina De Giorgi, is dedicated to the First Missions, (chapters 6-12), that is, to the work done by the Holy Spirit through the Apostles with their evangelical missions in Judea and Samaria. The coin represents the episode of the liberation of the sleeping Peter by the angel who breaks the chains that hold him prisoner (Acts 12,7). 

 

 

50 Euro coin - The Jerusalem Assembly

The 50 Euro coin, by Gabriella Titotto, shows a symbolic representation of the Jerusalem Assembly (chapter 15), which confirms the definitive opening of the gospel to all people, according to the will of Jesus.
