The Bank of Russia has put into circulation 10 million coins of 10 rubles of bimetallic type, belonging to the series "Russian Federation", dedicated on this occasion to the Region (Oblast) of Kostroma,
The Kostroma region is a constituent entity of the Russian Federation and a part of the Central Federal District. The region was established on August 13, 1944. Its administrative center is the city of Kostroma. At the beginning of 2019, the population of the region was approximately 637,000 people. The Kostroma region is an industrial and agricultural area. Its economy is based on the forestry and agricultural, energy, mechanical, textile and jewelery industries.
On the reverse side of the coin, in its central core, the coat of arms of the Kostroma region is displayed, on the inscriptions ring, at the top "Russian Federation" and at the bottom "Kostroma Region" complete the composition.
The obverse of the coin, on the top of the ring is the inscription "Bank of Russia", at the bottom «2019». To the left and right of the ring, a branch of laurel and oak, respectively, elements that invade the central disc. In the center are the number "10" and the inscription "ruble" indicating the value of the currency. Within the figure "0" in a latent image you see the figure "10" and the inscription "rub". In the lower part the mint mark is shown.
