Continuing with the series dedicated to the most famous figures of Portuguese architecture, both nationally and internationally, the INCM will issue in September a coin alluding to the architect João Luís Carrilho da Graça, author of projects that mark the urban landscape of several cities, such as the Cruise terminal. de lisboa, among others.





The coin, created by Julião Sarmento, one of the most prestigious contemporary national artists, shows on its reverse a simple and refined representation of the School of Social Communication of Lisbon, building designed by Carrilho da Graça and distinguished with the International Critics Award of Art (AICA) in 1992.



The obverse shows in the center the shield of Portugal, in the upper semicircle the inscriptions «INCM», the face value «7.5 EURO» and the name of the author of the coin design «SARMENTO». In the lower semicircle appears the name of the issuing country «PORTUGUESE REPUBLIC».

The facial of the coin is 7.5 euros, has two versions with the same design, one minted in silver of 500 that can be purchased at face value in Portugal, and the other in Proof finish and composed of 925 silver at a price of around € 55.
