Few are the trimetallic coins that exist worldwide, and today we will see no less than three minted by the Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt (Real Mint of the Netherlands, Ceca de Utrech) for the Central Bank of Luxembourg.

The pieces belong to a series dedicated to cultural, architectural and other works located in Luxembourg and included in the list of UNESCO. In 2018 the first was issued, this year the second and in 2020 the third and last. So at least it is as announced, but now the Bank of Luxembourg announces the issue on January 24 of the three coins of collection in silver, copper and Nordic gold in quality "Proof".

Currency 2018 - Photo exhibition «The Family of Man»

The Family of Man ("The Man's Family") is a photo exhibition first exhibited in 1955 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Its objective is to offer a vision of people through images of human interest in its broadest sense. It is currently exhibited in Luxembourg.

Currency 2019 - Luxembourg City: Old neighborhoods and Fortifications

Due to its strategic position, the city of Luxembourg was from the sixteenth century until the dismantling of its walls in 1867, one of the most important strongholds of the European continent. Reinforced every time the city passed from one to another of the successive dominant powers in Europe (emperors of the Holy Roman Empire, the House of Burgundy, the Habsburgs and the kings of Spain, France and Prussia), its fortifications were, until its partial demolition, a true compendium of the evolution of military architecture over several centuries.

Currency 2020 - Procession with dances of Echternach

Every year, on Tuesday of Pentecost, a Christian religious festival, is celebrated in the medieval city of Echternach, the oldest in Luxembourg, the procession with dances called Sprangprëssioun. Its celebration, certified by documents dating from the year 1100, is intended to worship St. Wilibrordo, the founding monk of the Abbey of Echternach, which is venerated for his missionary work, his good deeds and his gifts to cure some diseases.

The common side of the coins shows the same image.

The edition is limited to 2,000 units. Each game is sold in a luxury box that is individually numbered and includes a certificate of authenticity. The UNESCO set is now on sale in the BCL store at the price of € 200.
