The Central Bank of Bolivia put into circulation yesterday January 15, 2019 the new bill of 100 bolivianos of the First Family of Notes of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. The new ticket, which is the same size (14 X 7 centimeters) and material (100% cotton) as its predecessor, preserves the predominant red color of the previous family, pays homage to three other historical figures with the images of Juana Azurduy de Padilla, Alejo Calatayud and Marshal Antonio José de Sucre.
In addition, the ticket includes as a natural site the Arco Iris Falls, located in the department of Santa Cruz, and as a historic place to the Casa de la Moneda, in the city of Potosí.
In fauna and flora include the images of the Blue Paraba, Bolivian eastern bird that is characterized by its large size, up to 100 centimeters; and Flor Patujú, recognized as a patriotic symbol in the Political Constitution of the State.
The new 100 Bolivian bill has improvements in security measures, such as the watermark with three elements, the coinciding motif and the printing with high-relief colors in the characters, texts and values of the cut.Also, it includes in the On the upper left of the back the image of a Blue Paraba, which when tilting the bill from left to right or from top to bottom, shows circles that move and change color, from green to blue.
It also has a security thread on the obverse, four centimeters wide,
with the image of Juana Azurduy de Padilla and the value of the cut (100). This security measure changes color, from red to gold when the ticket is tilted.
With the circulation of the 100 bolivianos bill, only the 200 bolivianos issue, programmed for April 2019, remains to complete the series.
