On June 1, the Ufficio Filatelico and Numismatico Governatorato Città del Vaticano will announce the issuance of two new collectible coins with facials of 10 and 100 euros, minted in gold and dedicated to "El Bautismo" and "Los Evangelistas - San Juan 'respectively.
Currency of 10 euros - The Baptism
The artist Daniela Fusco has been in charge this year of the coin dedicated to "The Baptism", in which is represented the Baptism of Jesus immersed in the Jordan, with the water that descends on its head from a shell, Christian symbol of the Generating force of new life. With Baptism, men are reborn as children of God, incorporated into the Church and made partakers of their mission.

Currency of 100 euros - The Evangelists: San Juan
The 100 euro gold coin is dedicated this year to St. John the Evangelist. Made according to the design of the artist Cristina De Giorgi, it represents the saint with the eagle because, as it was believed that the eagle could look at the sun, he also in his gospel looked at the depth of the deity. The figurative scene reproduces one of the four ceramics of Andrea della Robbia, with the evangelists, who decorate the pinnacles of the dome of the Basilica of Santa Maria dos Cárceles in Prato.
