Above we see the reverse of the coins of 5 and 10 grivnas, the latter minted in silver and with an aged finish. In them we see the Medzhybizh Fortress from a bird's eye view and the name of it in the upper semicircle.

On these lines we see the obverse of both coins in which a shield with a tower is represented, within a stylized map of the land with the inscriptions: "the river of God" (left)), "the town of God" (right) ), underneath a ribbon with the inscription "Weight of Ukraine in Europe". The composition, name and emblem of the issuing country "Ukraine" complete the year of issue "2018" and the face value, 5 or 10 grivnas.

The fortress castle of Medzhybizh, built as a bulwark against Ottoman expansion in the 1540s, became one of the strongholds of the Kingdom Crown of Poland in Podolia. It is located at the confluence of the Southern Bug and Buzhenka rivers, in the city of Medzhybizh, Ukraine. Today the castle is part of the Historical-Cultural Reserve of the State.

Since 2004, the fortress hosts the historical festival "Old Medzhybizh". On festival days, usually in mid-August, the fortress is full of tourists, knights, archers, princesses and mythical heroes.
