Within the series dedicated to the "Higher Education Teaching Centers of Ukraine", a coin with a facial of 2 grivnas minted on an alpaca alloy, also known as German silver, is issued on August 28, dedicated to the "Centennial of the National University Tavrida VI Vernadsky ».
The reverse of the coin shows the building of the university inaugurated on October 14, 1918, to the left of the building the inscriptions of the inauguration date, on the right the portrait of one of its founders who gives its name to the educational center, geologist Vladimir Vernadsky. In the upper and lower semicircles the full name of the university appears, and under the building the inscription "100 years".
On the obverse of the coin, at the top is the state emblem of Ukraine, below which is the inscription UKRAINE; in the center, the logo of the National University of Taurida VI Vernadsky, on both sides appear the years 1918 and 2018. In the lower part the facial value 2 grivnas and on the right the mint mark of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
