Thanks to the friend Juan Ruiz González, I could know with certainty, there was already a rumor about it, that one of the commemorative 2 euro coins that the Vatican will issue in 2019 will have as its theme the "25th Anniversary of the Restoration of the Sistine Chapel".
There is no doubt about this coin since in a video uploaded to YouTube by Vaticano News, which talks about the issue of the different portfolios put up for sale during this month by the Ufficio Filatelico e Numismatico Vaticano, at the end of it, Mauro Olivieri, chief of emissions, says that one of the commemorative 2-euro coins will be dedicated to the aforementioned event.

In the years from 1980 to 1994 the Sistine Chapel underwent a careful restoration that was in charge of a team made up of specialists from the Vatican Museums and its director, Carlo Pietrangeli, by Professor Fabrizio Mancinelli, art historian and director of the works, and by Gianluigi Colalucci, chief-restorer. This work involved the cleaning of the frescoes of the "Bóveda", made from 1980 to 1992, and the "Judgment", which ended in 1994 after four years of intense work.
