On October 27, two coins have been issued in Ukraine with facials of 5 and 20 hryven minted one in alpaca and the other in silver, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet of Ukraine Taras Shevchenko, located in the city of Kiev. 





The obverse of the coin counts as the main motif with the facade of the building of the National Opera of Ukraine Taras Shevchenko of Kiev. The upper part shows the national coat of arms and the name of Ukraine, on the left and right, in color, 1867 and 2017. On the lower part, the face value, 5 hryven, and on the right, the logo of the Mint. of the National Bank of Ukraine.




On the back is a stylized composition of the auditorium, which also appears on the top heraldic griffins present on the top of the facade of the building, above these you can read "National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet of Ukraine Taras Shevchenko. " In the lower part it reads "150 years".

 

The coin with 20 hryven facial that is minted in 925 silver and in Proof quality, has the same design but with several shades. On the obverse does not appear the years 1867 - 2017 and as it is logical the facial value that is shown is that of 20 hryven. On the back the auditorium appears in golden color. The size also varies considerably, from 35mm of the 5 hryven, to 50mm of the 20 hryven.
