Although a few days ago I already showed you the image of the 2 Euro commemorative coin of Vatican 2019 dedicated to the «25th anniversary of the end of the restoration of the Sistine Chapel», today I complement you with the information received from the Ufficio Filatelico e Vatican Numismatico, in which we will know the official data and images for this broadcast that is dated October 1.

As usual, the currency will be put on sale in two qualities, FDC and Proof, at the price, for subscribers, of 18 and 37 euros respectively, plus shipping costs.

 

The coin, according to the design of the artist Daniela Longo, is centered around the dominant figure of Christ, represented in the instant that precedes the issuance of the Final Judgment verdict. His gesture, imperious and serene, seems at the same time to attract attention and calm the surrounding agitation: this sets in motion a broad and slow rotary movement in which all the figures are involved.
