We reached the end of one of the series most beautiful of recent times coins, although it is true that all of Austria are, this one, in which each of the sides has been designed by schoolchildren, has an added bonus for the way it has promoted numismatic among the smallest.

The series dedicated to the nine provinces of Austria, began in 2012 and ends with the tenth currency that I present today and issued on October 5, dedicated to Austria as a whole. For this piece, the design competition was organized for each currency from the country school individually, it has been convened between whole classes in schools. Of the 4,000 sketches submitted, the winner was primary school Dr. Jonas, in the city of Kapfenberg.

The obverse of the coin, designed by Thomas Pesendorfer, very prestigious designer of the Mint of Austria, characters and very significant images that have appeared on coins issued by the Austrian Mint are represented.

The work of design school, has left the union of individual elements drawn by each child and represented in the center, in the outer circle shown themselves with raised hands and a huge smile.
