Within the series of coins Ukraine dedicated to the I nstitutions of Higher Education in the country, on September 1 was issued one, with facial 2 hryvnia, dedicated to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Agricultural University Kharkow Dokuchaev, one of the oldest educational institutions agricultural profile, established in 1816. Today it is a modern center dedicated to agricultural science in Ukraine, contributing significantly to the development of national education and science, as well as having an important international recognition.
The obverse shows at the top of the National Emblem of Ukraine and the inscription Ukraine; in the center, on light background, the logo of the university, left a portrait of the first director of the Institute and a graph of the cities of its area of influence. At the bottom the inscription 2 hryvnia, year of issue 2016 and the logo of the National Bank of Ukraine (left).
On the reverse is a portrait of Dokuchaev, images of modern university buildings and inscriptions: Dokuchaev Kharkov National Agrarian University (semicircular), 200 years (below).
