O nouă monedă comemorativă ucraineană - 05.09.2017

The coin was issued by the Bank of Ukraine on August 29 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the launch of the first satellite to space, honor that falls on the Sputnik I. With a facial of 5 hryven and minted in alpaca have been put to the sale a total of 50,000 pieces

Sputnik I was launched on October 4, 1957 by the Soviet Union, becoming the first artificial satellite in history. In its creation and launch participated scientists, designers and the considered founder of practical astronautics, Serguéi Koroliov, all of them Ukrainians.
 




The reverse of the coin presents a stylized image of Sputnik plying the space and inscriptions in Ukrainian: 60th anniversary of the launching of the first satellite of the Earth (right semicircle).




The obverse of the coin shows the planet Earth (in color) with the Sputnik satellite orbiting around it. As is customary in all Ukrainian currencies, the national coat of arms of Ukraine, the year of issue, the face value and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine are also represented.
