On the back, a portrait of Miguel de Cervantes and a notary, taken from an engraving by Manuel Salvador Carmona, preserved in the Royal Spanish Academy is played. On the right, the mint mark. On April 22, 1616, at the age of sixty-eight years, he died in Madrid Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (1547-1616), an event that will be remembered throughout the world, and especially in the Spanish - speaking world. So 2016 is associated with a name year: Miguel de Cervantes, one of the most famous writers of all time and known for being the author of a novel that everyone has heard: The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quijote of La Mancha.
Why 2016 is associated with this author? For the fourth centenary of his death after also in 2015, the fourth centenary of the publication of the second part of Don Quixote is commemorated met. That is, 400 years later, Cervantes, the Prince of Wits, is more topical than ever.
