The Sutartinės, are Lithuanian chants to several voices played by women, and is the subject to which is dedicated one of the two commemorative 2 euro coins that Lithuania issues in 2019, on the tenth anniversary of its declaration by Unesco as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. I just got to know the first image and some more information about the issue of this coin that I will let you know.
The image shows a stylized composition in which three women appear in the center, the work of the Lithuanian painter Liudas Parulskis. The name of the issuing country, LIETUVA, the year of issue, 2018, and the reason for which the currency is dedicated, SUTARTINÉS, complete the design.
Like all 2 euro coins issued by Lithuania, they count on the inscription with the inscriptions LAISVĖ * VIENYBĖ * GEROVĖ (FREEDOM * UNIDAD * WELFARE).
The announced issue volume is 500,000 coins, of which 5,000 will be issued in coincard. The expected date of circulation, is the fourth quarter of 2019.
