O nouă monedă comemorativă germană - 09.10.2016

On July 7 it was issued in Germany a silver coin with face of 20 euros to commemorate the 200th birthday of Ernst Litfass, publisher and printer. Inventor of the advertising columns that bear his name, Litfass.




The reverse shows the image of Ernst Litfass, posing under a lamppost next to one of its advertising columns. the legend "200 Geburtstag Ernst Litfass" (200 years of the birth of Ernst Litfass) appears at the top.

On the obverse the eagle symbol of the German state, the words "Bundesrepublik Deutschland" (Federal Republic of Germany) and six stars, the face value "20 Euro" and the year of issue "2016" appears at the top. At the bottom six other stars are shown, the mintmark "D" (Munich) and the metal on which is coined "Silber 925" (925).

20 Euro coins are minted in Germany two grades, BU and Proof, both in 925, with the remainder copper. BU quality coins are available at face value, while the Proof has a higher price.
