On October 26, I informed you of the national-type commemorative 2-euro coin that Latvia will issue in 2022 to celebrate the «100th anniversary of the establishment of the Bank of Latvia», then we only knew the motif of the coin, today I will show you the design that will present.
The coin marks the centenary of Latvijas Banka with an emphasis, the Bank itself, on a very important issue in its view: financial literacy. Financial education is an important ability to understand and effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing. Financial education is the foundation of our relationship with money and is a lifelong learning journey.
The national side of the coin will represent a tree, symbolizing the importance of financial education and knowledge.
The volume and date of issue have not yet been decided.
