Ferdinand I gold 100 Lei 1922-Dated (1928/1929) MS61 NGC, London mint, KM-XM4, Fr-9, Stamb-85. Struck posthumously in 1928 and 1929 to celebrate the King's 5th anniversary of reign in 1927. The full-bloom golden luster punches well above the assigned grade, which is likely held in check by a couple of minute obverse abrasions. Nevertheless, this example exceeds the norm for the type and is noteworthy for the crystal-clear definition of the reverse shield, which is often soft even at higher grades.

One of only a few designated Choice specimens, with enviable luster and smooth velveteen spaces between the devices. The reverse crown and surrounding symbols blaze on this issue.
