Portugal 2024 commemorative 2 euro coin – Portugal 2024 Olympic Team

The coin will be dedicated to the Portuguese Olympic Team, which will participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, this international multi-sport event will take place between July 26 and August 11, 2024 in the city of Paris.

 

On the national side of the coin there appears a set of elements arranged in the shape of a heart, representing a collective hug; around the heart there are 15 circles in symbolic reference to the Olympic rings and the continents they represent, the tip of the heart shape is crowned by the coat of arms of Portugal; The center of the “hug” holds the logo of the Portuguese Olympic Committee, conveying the idea that the hearts of the Portuguese will beat collectively for the Portuguese Olympic team at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Below is the name “Equipa Olímpica Portugal”, and the year "2024"; On the left is the “Casa da Moeda” mintmark and on the right is the name of the designer.
