The last coin issued in Peru, dated July 31, 2024, is a commemorative silver coin with a 1 sol denomination alluding to the Bicentennial of the Battle of Junín.
The Battle of Junín was one of the last clashes between royalist and patriot armies during the process of independence of Peru.
