The Bank of Russia has issued two coins, one silver and one gold, dedicated to the Ural Nuclear Icebreaker. The Ural is the third ship in Project 22220, which builds the world's largest and most powerful icebreakers powered by nuclear power. Icebreakers of this type are expected to be able to navigate through an ice sheet up to three meters thick, making it possible to navigate the North Sea Route all year round, and not only at sea, but also in the mouths of the rivers of northern Russia.

The ship is 173 meters long, like a large football stadium, 34 meters wide and the height of a five-story building. The ship is currently being completed and is expected to enter service in 2022.

The reverse of the silver coin features relief images of the nuclear icebreaker «Ural», pieces of ice and stars against the background of a colored image of polar lights; at the bottom, along the edge, the inscription: 'АТОМНЫЙ ЛЕДОКОЛЬНЫЙ ФЛОТ' (FLEET OF NUCLEAR ICEBREAKERS).

The reverse of the gold coin features relief images of the nuclear icebreaker «Ural», chunks of ice and stars; On the right, at the top, there is an image of the nautical scale; at the bottom, along the edge, the inscription: 'АТОМНЫЙ ЛЕДОКОЛЬНЫЙ ФЛОТ' (FLEET OF NUCLEAR ICEBREAKERS).

The obverse of the coins show a relief image of the Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation, on the edge is the semicircular inscription 'РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ' (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) framed on both sides by interlocking rhombuses. Below the coat of arms there are indications of the precious metal and its fineness on the left, and the fine metal content and the mint mark on the right, at the bottom in the center, in three lines, is the inscription 'БАНК РОССИИ '(BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination of the coin' 3/200 РУБЛЯ '(3/200 RUBLES) and the year of issue' 2022 г. ' (2022).
