O nouă bancnotă comemorativă din Ucraina - 01.03.2024 - VIDEO

A few days ago marked the second anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine by Putin's troops. Coinciding with this tragic date, the Bank of Ukraine has issued a commemorative note with a face of 50 hryvnias (1.21 euros) under the name "Unity saves the world", something that can be interpreted as an appeal to both its people as well as the rest of friendly nations to continue supporting them in the fight to defend themselves from their aggressor.

The commemorative banknote “Unity Saves the World” is dedicated to the unbreakable spirit of the Ukrainian people in the struggle for freedom and European values, to the consolidation of Ukrainian society to protect its territorial integrity and to the unity of the democratic world in the face of Russian aggression.

The 50 hryvnia commemorative banknote features the signature of the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Andriy Pyshnyi; contains security features of the current denomination banknote series and additional security features; The circulation is 300,000 units (299,952 are presented in a souvenir folder, and the rest in complete uncut sheets, composed of 24 bills each). 
 

The obverse of the commemorative banknote features an artistic composition in the central part, which reflects a stylized outline of Ukraine, associated with the heart. The background image is that of a girl wearing a military helmet and looking towards the West. At the bottom of the commemorative banknote, against the background of the globe, a stylized image of Europe appears, from whose countries aid and support comes to Ukraine. The stylized hearts located between the paths where aid travels symbolize sacrifice and compassion. The top of the commemorative note has a watermark in the center. To the right of the brand field there is a stylized chevron of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a special relief element in the form of a circle for the visually impaired. To the left of the watermark field is the inscription UKRAINE and the image of the state emblem of Ukraine. Below the watermark field, on both sides, there is a stylized composition of filled and outlined squares (the central squares indicate the denomination of the commemorative banknote), a translucent strip filled with the outline of the logo of the National Bank of Ukraine. Below the stripe, in the center of the commemorative note, there is the inscription UNITY SAVES THE WORLD and two blocks of text (left and right) in Ukrainian and English: UNITY / AND SOLIDARITY / WITH THE UKRAINIAN PEOPLE / ARE CLOSING / THE VICTORY OF UKRAINE / IN THE FIGHT AGAINST / THE RUSSIAN AGGRESSOR, / AND THEY ARE SAVING THE WORLD / FROM CHAOS / AND THE DARKNESS / OF VIOLENCE. You can also see: the vertical inscription NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, the signature of the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine and the word GOVERNOR in the lower left part; inscription FIFTY GRIVNAS in the lower center. The design of the front of the bill is complemented by other elements made with multicolor printing.
 

The main image on the reverse of the commemorative banknote is a symbolic composition of clasped hands symbolizing cooperation, mutual assistance, trust and partnership against the background of a stylized trident, a symbol of the Ukrainian state. At the top of the commemorative note is a stylized image of the digital designation of the denomination, formed by a protective grid. The inscription FIFTY / GRIVNAS is located vertically in the upper right part of the banknote and horizontally in the lower center part. At the top, in the center of the commemorative note, is the inscription UNITY – STRENGTH! At the bottom, the year of issue, 2024. The serial number is printed twice. The design on the back of the bill is complemented by other elements made with multicolor printing.
