The Austrian Mint has presented the fourth and last coin of the Angels Guardian series dedicated to Uriel - The Illuminating Angel. The four pieces that make up the collection have facials of 10 euros, as in all those issued by the Austrian mint with this face value, they adapt to all pockets, depending on the metal and the quality in which we want to acquire the coin, we can do from the € 10 that costs copper, which by the way looks as good, or better, than silver.
The only angel in the interreligious series of Guardian Angels not recognized as an archangel by the Catholic Church, Uriel, is the protagonist of the fourth coin, this one consoles us in dark moments, gives us energy and helps us find joy in life.
The reverse of the coin presents an adaptation of a representation of Uriel in a stained-glass window in the Church of Santa Maria, in the town of Mortenhoe, Devon, in the south-west of England. Made by Selwyn Image (1849-1930) around 1890, the window shows Uriel as a young man with short hair and a halo. In his hand he holds a stylized sun with the word Sol.
With the meaning of 'the light of God' or 'God is my light' in Hebrew, Uriel is symbolized on the front of the coin in the form of stylized flames jumping from an ornate brazier framed by the letter U. In addition to its value facial, shows the year of issue and the issuing country.
