For the most demanding, I announce that next Tuesday, April 16, the 2 euro commemorative Spanish coin of 2021 will be put on sale in Proof quality, a coin that continues with the series destined to commemorate goods and places included in the Heritage list UNESCO World Cup, this is the twelfth, with a dedication to the "Historic City of Toledo."
In 555 Toledo became the capital of the Visigothic kingdom. It is known as "the imperial city" for having been the capital of the Holy Roman Empire of Charles V and also as "the city of the three cultures", for having been populated for centuries by Christians, Jews and Muslims who, coexisting in harmony, they forever left their own traditions and culture in the city. In 1986 its old town was included in the World Heritage list.
On the obverse, the images they represent are: a view of "Puerta del Sol", a building built in the fourteenth century in Mudejar style and a detail of the mural decoration of the Prayer Room of the Synagogue of Samuel Leví (vulgar del Tránsito), located in the Jewish quarter of Toledo and current Sephardic Museum. In the lower left part, in capital letters the word SPAIN and the year of minting 2021. In the upper right part the mint mark. Surrounding all the motifs and legends, in the outer circular area of the coin, the twelve stars of the European Union appear.
