Considered as a propagandist of the Ukrainian national idea and national literature, in 2018 100 years of the death of the writer Ivan Levitsky is celebrated. The Bank of Ukraine issues in its honor today, November 6, a coin with a facial of 2 grivnas to honor its figure.
On the obverse of the coin the emblem of the state of Ukraine is shown on the top; on the right a portrait of Ivan Levitsky, next to which appears a stylized umbrella (characteristic of the character) reminiscent of the writer's pen, on the left the face value of the coin 2 GRIVNAS and the Mint's logo National Bank of Ukraine; the Inscriptions, UKRAINE (top left), and IVAN NECHUY-LEVITSKY 1838 - 1918, together with the year of issue of the coin, 2018, complete the composition.
On the back of the coin there is a stylized composition composed of a tree of life, where two vases that appear on both sides pour water that feed the tree. On the outside of the circle are texts of the writer.
