The Bank of Ukraine issued on June 20 a coin with facial of 5 and hryven minted in an alloy of alpaca to commemorate the 400 years of the Brotherhood of the Holy Cross of Lutsk, national public religious organization of Orthodox confession whose main purpose Is to preserve and protect the orthodox faith.
The obverse shows the church and the building where this brotherhood was born, also they are represented some of the first texts published by these. As is customary in all Ukrainian currencies, the national coat of arms of Ukraine, the year of issue, the face value and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine are also represented.
The reverse side shows people belonging to the brotherhood and among them its shield or identifying symbol, in the upper part the text "Brotherhood of the Holy Cross of Lutsk" and in the lower one the reference to the 400 years of its creation.
