Slovakia will be in charge of issuing the first commemorative 2-euro coin in 2017, with his piece dedicated to the 550th anniversary of the University Istropolitana. This will be put into circulation on 4 January. This was announced by the NBS has provided a true picture of large and very good quality that lets us see a nice piece, designed by Mária Poldaufová.
Maria Poldaufová design shows the seated figures of a teacher and two students. In the background, a representative of the historical building of the University of Bratislava is shown, and at the top left of the coin a small medallion in which Matthias Corvinus, founder of the university appears.
