The Royal Canadian Mint was circulated last week a currency $ 2 to commemorate the75th Anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic , paying tribute as well to men and women who served during this battle in the North Atlantic during World War II.
The work of Yves Bérubé, shown in the central part of the coin a sailor aboard a Canadian warship looking through the viewfinder of his flak for threats in heaven design, while a plane Bristol Beaufighter flies above. In the outer ring two other Canadian ships in the distance are represented.
The obverse of the coin depicts the portrait appears on all coins of $ 2 by Susanna Blunt, Queen Elizabeth II in a gold ring inside surrounded by ELIZABETH II DG REGINA, CANADA 2 DOLLARS and inscriptions.
