The fourth coin of the "Discover Poland" series is broadcast on 23 May. With facial of 5 zlotych, bimetallic and working, this time is dedicated to one of the most valuable monuments of industrial culture in Poland, located in the city of Lodz, the Księży Młyn (Molino del Cura), built by Scheibler in 70s of the nineteenth century is a city within the city.

Księży Młyn




Księży Młyn is a city within the city, united both by a network of private railway. This complex includes residential houses, buildings, factories, mills, warehouses, workers' houses, a hospital, a school, shops, a sports park and a power plant. The massive red brick walls, mighty towers, the monumental gates and chimneys are a sign of the industrial revolution of the nineteenth century. Księży Młyn is one of the most beautiful monuments of industrial culture of Europe.
