Portuguese INCM starts a new series of coins under the name Sports Heroes, in honor of athletes who have been an example of effort, will and talent to be a source of pride and inspiration for generations of Portuguese.
The first coin of the series, designed by the illustrator André Carrilho, is dedicated to Eusébio, also known by the epithet "Black Panther" or "King", a legend of world football hero World Championship 1966 European champions Benfica in the 61/62 season and twice Golden Boot in 1968 and 1973.
The coin with face euros 7.5 is available in three versions with the same design, silver 500 you can get your face value in Portugal or in the virtual store INCM and the other two, minted one in 925 and one in gold.

Eusebio
Eusébio (1942- 2014), was known in sports as Eusébio was a Portuguese footballer of African origin, in what is now Mozambique. Considered by FIFA one of the best European players of the twentieth century and one of the greatest strikers in football history, it was one of the greatest icons of the sport in Portugal.
She won the Golden Ball for best player in Europe in 1965 and the Golden Boot top scorer in 1966 and 1973. He was the leader and driver ofboth the club SL Benfica won the European Cup in 1962 and the Portuguese national team that took 3.er place in the World Cup 1966 tournament where he was the top scorer.
He nicknamed the Black Panther, is considered a legend of Portuguese football, and the greatest footballer of all time in that country.
