A coin shaped like a scallop shell. An ammonite seemingly emerging from the rock. Tarot cards crafted from silver and scenes depicting the contrast between lust and chastity. The latest offerings from NumisCollect and PopCoins showcase the heights to which numismatic design can reach when form, relief, and color all contribute to the story.

NumisCollect and PopCoins: two ways to collect silver
NumisCollect is a family-owned company from the Netherlands, founded in 1999. Its activities encompass international distribution and the development of its own numismatic programs, from design to production coordination. Under its brand arehigh-end issuesin which sculptural work, finishes, and special forms play a prominent role.
PopCoins – Your Key To Silver was launched in2024by the next generation of the same family business. Its name and slogan—"Your Key To Silver"—reflect a focus on contemporary designs, a variety of themes, and carefully crafted presentations. NumisCollect handles its international distribution.
The coins in this selection bear the denominations and symbols of their issuing countries, Niue and Cameroon. The two brands have developed the designs we will see below, each with a different way of showcasing silver.
Santiago: a pilgrim's shell turned into a coin
Saint James – The Way to Santiago takes one of the Camino's most recognizable symbols and transforms it into the coin's silhouette. The scallop shell contributes its ribs, wavy edge, and natural volume; the aged finish accentuates the differences between the raised areas and the recesses.
The scallop shell's connection to pilgrimage dates back a long time: it already appears as a Jacobean emblem in the Codex Calixtinus, in the 12th century. Pilgrims carried it upon their return from Compostela as proof of having completed the journey. This history explains why such a simple shape continues to evoke associations with Galicia, the routes traveled, and the arrival in Santiago.
On the other side appears Saint James with his pilgrim's attributes: a hat with a scallop shell, a staff with a gourd, and a book. The ultra-high relief allows one to appreciate the folds of his clothing and the modeling of his face. Next to the figure are the Niue public seal, the year, and the details of the issue.
Dated 2026, it contains 2 ounces of .999 sterling silver, has a face value of $5, and a mintage of 499 pieces. It comes with a capsule, case, and certificate of authenticity.

Sins and virtues: the contrast can also be coined
The Seven Sins & Virtues series opens with a pair of allegorical figures: Lust and Chastity. The personification of these ideas has a long artistic tradition. Here, the contrast is built through gestures, symbols, and a palette that juxtaposes intense reds with white and blue.
In Lust, a female figure offers a cup amidst roses, jewels, a snake, and a mask. In Chastity, the protagonist holds a cross, surrounded by lilies and doves beneath a luminous moon. The small details make each scene almost like a painting.
The two individual coins are 2026 issues from Niue, weighing 1 ounce of .999 silver, 40 mm in diameter, and in Proof quality with color application. The face value is $2, and the mintage is 399 pieces per design. The common obverse features the Niue public seal and Baroque ornamentation incorporating the words "Vices and Virtues."
Each coin comes in an illustrated blister pack. According to the presentation announced by NumisCollect, purchasing both includes an additional empty blister pack to display the two coins together, so the contrast can also be appreciated when presented together.
The third proposal is Lust vs. Chastity: the two allegorical figures share a 3-ounce, .999 fine silver coin measuring 65 mm in diameter. Its baroque frame in ultra-high relief surrounds the colored scenes, while a flower links the two halves. This 2026 Niue edition combines an aged finish, relief, and color, with a face value of $7 and a mintage of 333 pieces.
Lust vs Chastity brings together both allegories in a single piece. Official promotional artwork by NumisCollect, reproduced with permission.
Tarot Cards: Silver cards with a surprise finish
With Tarot Cards, PopCoins brings the image of a playing card to life in metal: a rectangular format, an illustrated back, and a front that recreates the ornamental back of a deck. The collection is based around the 22 Major Arcana, which will be added through new issues.
The first cards are The Fool 0, depicting a traveler accompanied by his dog; The Magician I, who raises a wand over a cauldron amidst candles and flasks; and The Lovers VI, showing a couple beneath a winged figure. The anime style gives these traditional images a contemporary interpretation.
These are Cameroonian coins from 2026, with a face value of 1,000 CFA francs, 1 ounce of .999 silver, and dimensions of 36 × 53 mm. The obverse features the country's coat of arms amidst celestial and vegetal motifs, maintaining the appearance of the back of a letter.
The presentation is called Chase Blind Box. Each opaque, sealed package contains a coin of the corresponding card, but its design is revealed upon opening. For example, someone who buys The Fool knows which design they will receive; the surprise is which of its three versions they will find.

Ammonite: a fossil that emerges from the silver
Ammonite, first installment of the Fossil 3D Series. Official promotional composition by NumisCollect, reproduced with permission.
Ammonites were marine cephalopod mollusks, recognizable by their coiled shells. They disappeared at the end of the Cretaceous period, about 66 million years ago, and their fossils help to identify and relate geological strata. Their geometry also offers a particularly suggestive motif for studying topography.
The obverse continues the rock texture, featuring the Niue public seal and issue details. The coin is dated 2026, contains 2 ounces of .999 fine silver, has a face value of $5, and a mintage of 499 pieces. It comes with a capsule, presentation box, and certificate of authenticity.
