Information about the issuance of 2 euro commemorative coins corresponding to 2021 is not stopping. On this occasion, Finland is already preparing the first coin of this type that will be issued in 2021 under the name of «Journalism and open communication in support of the Finnish democracy ”with which it is intended to state that Finland is one of the countries with the greatest freedom of the press in the world, in 2020 second only to Norway, which is an added value to its democracy.
Description of the design: The figures represented on the inside of the coin can be interpreted as stylized human figures, composed and intertwined in the form of a web formed by ribbons. On the left and right edges of the inside of the coin is the inscription in Finnish and Swedish "JOURNALISMI / JOURNALISTIK" (JOURNALISM). The lower part of the core is inscribed "2021" as the year of issue and "FI" as the abbreviation of the issuing country, preceded by the Finnish mint mark. The outer ring represents the twelve stars of the European flag. The letters present on the edge are the same as the regular circulation coins of this facial.
The volume of issue will be, like last year, 800,000 pieces, which will be issued during the spring of 2021.
