O nouă monedă comemorativă finlandeză de 5 € - 15.02.2016

The Mint of Finland, Suomen Rahapaja, began in 2015 a new series of bimetallic coins, with face of 5 euros, dedicated to the most popular sports in the country. The coin series consists of nine pieces that are issued between 2015 and 2016 and have the same characteristics as the previous three series dedicated to their regions.

The seventh coin, dedicated to the ski jumps was presented last week, but will not be issued until next March 1. This and all of the series are available in grades BU and Proof.

Ski jumping is an Olympic winter sport that involves descending on skis down a ramp to pick up speed and then start the flight in order to land as far as possible. To make matters worse, during the flight you must maintain the harmony and aesthetics of movement, as well as the distance a Judges will look for style, both factors influence the final score.




The obverse of the coin the figure of a diver is depicted in full exercise. The back, which is identical for the entire series, shows the curve of an athletics stadium, the track and a crowd of people cheering.
