The euro currencies of Germany do not stand out, in general, for their great designs, these could be described as sober and correct. In contrast its innovation is more than present in its latest series of coins, I mean its two collections of coins that emits today that incorporate a translucent polymer ring that gives them a very special and characteristic touch, (Climate and Air Zones moving). Without forgetting the first of this type called, Planet Earth, which was a phenomenon, before, during and after its emission. It got media from around the world that little or nothing in the numismatic world to echo this innovative currency.
Today, June 6, the German Ministry of Finance has revealed what will be the second currency of the series "Air in Motion", which will be issued in March 2020 under the name "On Earth", and that includes another Novelty, compared to all coins with polymer ring issued to date, this will now also be bimetallic. Maybe you think it is not a great novelty, although at the level of sales, which is what is ultimately pursued with the collection coins, the fact that it is bimetallic, will make this piece enter the collection of those who make money bimetallic, which are also many and spread throughout the world. On the other hand, the Germans will be the first Mint Houses in the world to mint coins with these characteristics.
As I said this is the second coin of the series "Air in Motion", called "On Earth", is dedicated to sports practiced on land, where locomotion is done exclusively through air or wind.
The collector's coin with facial of 10 euros "On Earth" is composed of an inner core of copper and nickel, an outer ring of red bronze and a translucent plastic ring inserted between the two metal components. The design is the work of the artist Andre Witting of the Berlin Mint.
On one of its faces, the coin presents navigation on the beach, a sport that takes place on the border between water and land. The design focuses on the essential characteristics that make up this sport. It shows the so-called sailing car on the shore of the beach, in the immensity of the landscape.
The face common to the whole series, is the work of Andre Witting, it is represented in the center: a stylized eagle and the face value «10 EURO», on the outside of the circle the inscription »BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND» (FEDERAL REPUBLIC) DE ALEMANIA), the twelve stars of the European flag, including the year of issue "2020" and the mint mark "A" (Berlin), "D" (Munich), "F" (Stuttgart) , «G» (Karlsruhe) or «J» (Hamburg).
The currency can be purchased in two qualities, the BU will be sold at its nominal value (10 euros) in the Federal Banks of Germany. The coin with the Proof finish will go on sale at a price of around 25 euros.
