This 2018 marks the 150th anniversary of the last coinage of Spanish gold coins in coats of arms and that of the first coinage of the peseta. To commemorate it, the National Manufactory of Coin and Timbre-Real Casa de la Moneda presents the collection 150 Years of the Disappearance of the Shields, composed of four gold coins, in proof quality, encapsulated and presented in jewelery cases.
These coins, which are already on sale, reproduce the originals, including their technical specifications, with the exception of minor modifications, namely the date of the year, the nominal value and the current mint mark.
