The Collection is composed of 20 special coins that represent the history of navigation with images of the most important ships, from a Roman war bireme to the school ship Juan Sebastián Elcano or the armored frigate Numancia.
All coins are made of non-precious metal, cupro-nickel, with common reverse and obverse with different colored ships. All coins have a face value of 1.50 euros.
Reverse: Stylized composition of jumping dolphins that presents in the center the legend History of navigation and the face value of the coin 1.5 euro.
Obverse: A color. Images of the most representative ships of each era with the greatest presence of Spanish ships.
The stamps included are:
-Bicentennial of the Royal Expedition of the Smallpox Vaccine, issued in 2004

-Emergers. Centenary of the Submarine Weapon, issued in 2005
With this first issue Correos launch a new annual collectible product that incorporates numismatic and philatelic elements, each year the theme will be different, this first being the history of navigation.
