The Perth Mint has unveiled the new designs of its 2018 currency investment program, though almost entirely this year.
Issued annually since 1987, they are an excellent option for investing in gold, silver and platinum coins, all with the backing and guarantee of the Australian government itself.
Featuring exceptional craftsmanship, iconic art and assured purity, new coins, including the first Australian pure platinum kangaroo, will be available from September 11, 2017.
Following the series dedicated to the 12 animals of the Chinese lunar calendar, in 2018 gold coins represent a labrador retriever and silver show a German shepherd, both pieces have a purity of 99.99% and will be issued on 11 of September 2017.
Kookaburra
The Australian Kookaburra coin was originally launched in 1990. In 2018 the coin depicts the iconic bird on a moonlit night. The date of sale is October 4, 2017.
Kangaroo
