Since 2012 Münzen Österreich Austrian Mint has been issuing a series of coins dedicated to Gustav Klimt Austrian painter and a selection of paintings of many that devoted to Women. Either to ladies of the local society or classic mythological characters. Dressed and naked, especially naked, if there is a painter who has managed to represent women in body and soul this is Gustav Klimt.
The last of this series of five, all minted in gold and facial of 50 euros, is dedicated to his work entitled The Kiss, probably his best known work.

On the obverse the picture painted in 1908-1909, El Beso, permanently exposed in the Belvedere palace in Vienna appears. Is a pair of lovers embracing in which he holds his girl in a possessive attitude. She, kneeling, use your feet to not fall off the cliff that opens behind it. Some experts think that is Klimt himself who represents himself with Flöge Emilie, who was his muse and partner.
On the back the picture painted Flöge Emilie 1902 and the artist himself appears. This was of the view that the painting could not convey the real charm of Emilie, who was the most important of the many women who passed through the life of Klimt.
